Wings of Hope Project

I’ve been wanting to paint some larger scale, interactive murals, so this summer I decided to create a portable backdrop of butterfly wings, with the intention to do more in the future. Everyone loves a good social media backdrop, and I wanted to bring some color and hope to our community during this time when the pandemic has closed so many group spaces and we’re all social distancing. I am working on how to make these accessible and available to rent and use for your special events, but am also accepting commissions to paint in your own permanent spaces (See home page for “mural request”.) They would be perfect to add that unique and special touch to your parties and events (birthdays, baby showers, graduations, memorials, bridal showers, etc.)

The Alicia Butterfly

This was the first one I created, and it ended up being used quicker than expected, for a beautiful purpose. My inspirational friend, Alicia, passed away from cancer while I was working on it. Her sister is shown below in Alicia’s blue dress with the butterfly backdrop at their family memorial. It created a beautiful way for people to celebrate and her life and document this difficult, but special, event. Fly free, my friend! <3
